descisions, descisions, descisions

hi,

Now everyone comes to a point in their lives when they will try and decide what career that want to do and i have come to that point just about now. I just don't what to be one of those people who wallows in regret because they didnt try out things or do what they wanted to do. i cant decide what i want to do i have never had an exact route of where i want my life to take me.

I am currently deciding whether to go to a college or a college that specialises in beauty where i could study theatrical make up not sixth form it just seems boring to me. although theatrical makeup sounds oh so interesting i dont know how i would actually find it or whether i would want to persue it as an actual job. If i were to do theatrical make up i would be going to college 2 days a week and i then get a job for money and experience. But if it was not to work out i would have to go to another college and do my a-levels which is a bit of a hassle and i would then go to college being a year older than everyone because the theatrical makeup course only goes on for so long.
i could always do theatrical make up in a gap year though. I do want to travel so it would be a 2 year gap year. There are companies that do volunteering and you get to travel all over the world. That would be an experience!
I suppose it makes more sense to have a gap year after college than before.

As for uni i want to study law and journalism but i dont want to be a gossipy bullshity journalist i dont understand how that counts as interesting or a job. Law would be really difficult and you have to do even more studying after uni and i dont know what job i would actually do with that degree. These are the only kind of ideas i have for a career.
Aside from all that i would like to continue my blog regardless of what career path i take. Other less planned or practical ideas include opening my own shop, being an intern at company and working in the music business.
Hope you found this post interesting and will let you know what i decide. lots of love daisy xx

Style inspiration

I wouldn't say i have a specific style inspiration and if i were to list them all it would be a pretty long list. But there is always one place i can look to get some inspiration that isn't neccesarily on trend because I always like to try different looks. Skins is the best place ever to look at for inspo as there are many people with different looks. Effy had the whole grunge thing going on, liv was very vintage with a nod to the 90's and mini was also vintage with a more 80's direction. I also think frankie's fashion got really good during the middle to end of skins series 6. Of course there were other females in skins but these 4 are by far the best in my eyes. There all so different but i love them all the same.Skins is always a programme that hasn't been afraid to be different and this is definitley reflected in the fashion. All of the characters clothes seem to suit them really well because they reflect each characters personality. Hopefully this can help some of you out too, who also like trying new things or are looking for a new fashion direction. As for my style i would describe it as playful and girly, i also like to mix and match things. xx
Here are some pics of my favourite outfits.

Eyebrows

hi,
Usually people are wanting to tame there brows but thick are becoming a trend. For me i love thick eyebrows they look so nice. i also like a pinup eyebrow but never a thin one. I would love to have eyebrows like effy from skins, they suit her so well and make her look all the more prettier. So to grow out my brows i have discovered a new trick which is to apply olive oil to your brows at night before you go to bed and remove in the morning. This trick saves money and is a good way to get those brows growing. It works by giving the brows moisture allowing them to grow.
Hope this helps xx

Debenhams hmmmnn.

Hi i know this is my second post in a day but the ideas just keep flowing and i just love blogging. Now debenhams isn't exactly the most trendiest of shops but i for one totally give it the thumbs up and recommend it. It has h! by henry holland first of all who is a totally gorgeous very flattering clothing and a unique designer in a world of his own. The quality of bags are great too; the sale with up to 70% off has just come up and i am dieing to get some, yes some. There are just sooo amazing. To be honest i don't really look at all of the clothes apart from henry holland and red herring but if something cathches my eye then of course ill go look. I recently spotted some wedged creepers (which i prefer to the normal ones)on their which seems unlikley of them but hey and i have never really looked at the shoes before. Debenhams is also good for a quick sniff of perfume.
Hope this helps xx
Also i am trying to do some photography for outfit of the days and hauls which i need to photograph i just need a camera with a charger errrrr.xx

theatre times

I have always loved going to the theatre whether that be a panto or  show. Going to a panto has become a tradition in our family. I have only ever been to a proper theatre once in london to see Billy Elliot but was blown away and thought the level of talent from such young actors and actresses was amazing. I loved the atmosphere, it was amazing the lights, acting, singing and dancing. Now i want to feast my eyes on a play by Willy Russell called Educating Rita. I have studied the play at school and it engaged me like no other book or play i have studied. It is neither a horror nor a romance and at first glance it may seem like a romance but it isn't. Its a journey between two people of opposite backgrounds of self discovery.It's different. I admit the film and book of the play wasn't full of constant thrills but the story is beautiful it takes you on journey with these characters. I am so intreged to see what the play will be like whether it will convey the same feelings and emotions. Its a play so it won't be full of song and dance which i love also. I don't understand those who think plays are just for those who are posh although it does sound very intelligent if your talking about plays which i do not claim to be; its just like a hobby and i admire writers who can write so well. The play only consists of one room and two people althought the film varies the settings. I just love that the passion and acting must be so good for this too actually work thats why i love it, it seems so interesting. The film has Michael Cane(A christmas Carol) and Julie Walters(Harry Potter)and the play is very true to its time. Let's hope i can bag a seat. Hope you liked the post. xx

whats that i hear ?

Hi everyone todays post is about new artists and songs i have discovered and are loving or rediscovering them. I love music and everyone does whether their taste is different or not. I absoluley love Jessie ware, a quirky singer with fresh music she sounds amazing. I especially love wildest moments which is my fave. Not only is her music unique her voice is greatly uunique too.

My other artist is Gabrielle aplin her voice is literally perfect and also brings something new to music. She has a kind of indie/folk elements to her music. My fave song of hers is Please don't say you love me it reverses the role of what some may say is an typical opinion of a wild boyfriend, this song is very special.

Another artist is Lianne la havas who i have seen on music programmes such as freshly squeezed and i adore her single is your love big enough, i think she is a great songwriter with great ideas with a voice that oozes soul and strength. I also love one of her songs called lost and found which is very heartfelt definitley a ballad.

As for rediscovering artists i have been listening to charlie simpson. I bought his album ages ago and have just recently been listening to him on youtube. He writes his own songs and plays guitar his song titles seem so interesting. I totally love him and respect him for his musical achievements and verstility. As i mentioned i love the guitar elements of his music he is very folk. Plus i love paloma faith aswell.

The singles i have been loving have come from skins, Series 5 and 6... I think. I love the music they use with the acting the two blend so well and most are undiscovered aswell which i love they have managed to discover great music.

The first single is called they just don't give a fuck by phoenixunique ft elida benjamin. This track is definitley a hip hop one full of raping with a great chorus. i love the element a female voice gives it.

The next one is desire by anna calvi purely beautiful, i love it definitley creates a picture in your mind. She plays guitar and is a folks singer.

Candy by robbie williams is awesome like nothing i have ever heard especially from him, he is definitley getting better and it has kaya in from skins, i love her. The songs just sounds amazing and suits his voice really well. It definitley makes you wanna get up a dance.

Hope you enjoyed, i love music and thought id share my recent loves with you and as yo can see i have lots of different people i love and i love undiscovered and unique people.

We are a mess, we are failures and we love it- skins series 5
bye xx
